I am excited about my new project – raven.me. I have always wanted to create an iPhone site, but my day job and other side pursuits have kept this on the back burner for some time. With the pending launch of the iPhone 3G and the App Store, plus iPhoneDevCamp 2 coming up in the next few weeks, it seemed like the right time. Those of you who know me understand my level of passion for the iPhone. Those who do not know me yet will experience this passion through my content on this site.

I don’t expect site will actually launch publicly until sometime around the 17th of July, once the .me TLD auction has completed. I am waiting until I have ownership of the raven.me domain name until the site is launched. I will be adding content to the site in advance of the launch.

UPDATE 18 July 2008: The .me domain auction for raven.me has been pushed back to August 5th. Not ideal, but it’s entirely out of my control. I do not want to launch a site with one domain name and switch it several weeks later. Either I win raven.me in auction or I select another domain name in early August.

UPDATE 9 August 2008: I have secured raven.me from the domain auction after a week of bidding. I am putting the final touches on the site before launch.

UPDATE 14 August 2008: I am launching the site on Monday, August 18th.
