Where to find or post an iPhone job
“Where is a good place to post an iPhone job?”
“Where is a good place to look for iPhone jobs?”
These two questions are increasingly becoming the most common emails I receive from people I do not know. I help out when I can, but the volume of incoming email is such now that I need a general solution for everyone that I can point to.
One of my grand ambitions for raven.me was the creation of an iPhone jobs feed, based on my daily search of iPhone jobs sites. Up until a major client project in late August, I was spending roughly an hour a day every day scanning for relevant iPhone jobs and posting them here. In fact, I had posted over 200 iPhone jobs dating back to early July.
This major project, coupled with the realization that I did not have the time or ambition to do placement or referrals for iPhone developers as a primary focus, brought me to the decision to get out of the iPhone job aggregation game. It’s not what I want to be doing. My intent is not to start a development shop or recruiting firm. I am sharing the various sources I used to search for listings. If you have additional sources that are of value, please send them along to me.
iPhone Jobs Search:

Yahoo! Hotjobs
Monster
CareerBuilder
SimplyHired
Indeed
Jobs.com
CocoaDev Job Board
37signals Gig Board for iPhone

Craigslist Search – in the search area, enter ‘iPhone’ and the pull-downs Jobs and All Jobs, then in the left nav, select the cities you want to search across. I generally selected Met and ‘Search All 22 Cities’ for the major markets.
iPhone Jobs at Apple – the search query will expire from time to time and you’ll need to re-enter ‘iPhone’ as the search criteria.
Best of luck!
Also checkout iPhonejobs.org which is setup as a free job listing for iPhone jobs.

This is the largest, and certainly the oldest iPhone and Mac OS X Job Market. Worldwide I know 626 experienced Objective-C, NextStep, OpenStep, Mac OS X, and iPhone developers. For those who have not been around as long those other technologies were the precursors to the
iPhone technology stack.
I also have an rss feed, and if you click on Job Widgets, there is an html widget you can host on your site.

So are you saying that these iPhones will allow you to work with these jobs? So you’d get paid from working on yourr iPhone, or doing development wrk for your iPod touch or iPhone? Wow, that is really sweet.
I’ll have to research this now.
